Due to the response and/or lack there of to ‘Earwax’ and the KickStarter project, Melting Records is going to have a few big changes. Some bands are breaking up for personal and artistic reasons. Nothing malicious, just going in different directions. First things first, the Dome Piece KickStarter project will be cancelled. There are a lot of little reasons like lack of interest all around, the inability to play shows, etc. But the main reason is because Dome Piece is no more. After only a few months, the band is going a different way that I (Jason) am not interested in. So until further notice, Dome Piece has ceased to be as the remaining members start something new.
Once the dust settles and I am back on my feet (with a job and vehicle), Melting Records will get back to full swing. Until then I’m afraid, we are on hiatus. I’ll be sure to explain more later this week on The Drip. In the meantime compadres, keep your head high and the volume up. I’ll be back with good news as soon as it comes.
